Since: The Bombing of Pan Am Flight 103
USA (86 min.) Documentary Feature
DIR Phil Furey

Four days before Christmas in 1988, Pan Am Flight 103, a 747 jumbo jet full of families, college students, travelers and airplane crew, broke apart in the skies six miles above Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 259 on the plane and 11 people on the ground. Days later, a terrorist bomb was blamed. Outraged by preventable lapses in airline security and a callous U.S. government that wanted them to disappear, American relatives of those killed on the New York-bound flight used the media as a weapon and began a massive public campaign for answers – they were not going to go away quietly. Decades later, after a hard-won criminal conviction, the families watched powerlessly as justice unraveled for a trillion-dollar oil deal held ransom by Libya's maniacal dictator, Muammar Gaddafi.
